Our brewers have used the finest seasonal ingredients to lovingly craft an ale that offers an intriguing balance of flavours within a unique, and very special flavour profile. Dry-hopped with Mosaic hops, this red Ale has complex aromas and flavour of tropical and stone fruit, underlined with pine and citrus hop notes and as with all of our Ales, there are no additives and no preservatives. Compass malt is used with the barley sourced from the Murray Mallee region of South Australia.

En vintage ale i engelsk stil. Bärnstensfärgad, medelhögt skum som bildar ett tunnt lock. Doft av röda vingummin, kola och smör. Malttungt söt, mandel, säd, snäll beska. Saknar humlen.

Cloudy amber color; generous head, compact. Aroma of caramel and sugar, lightly soapy. Ordinary body strength; it has caramel flavor, and unfortunately also a metallic touch, that makes the final a bit harsh; a high yeast presence also makes it a bit astringent; there are also traces of sweet liquorice and vegetables. Nothing spectacular here.

The label says "Extra Strong," not "Extra Good." Pours dark opaque amber but the head fizzles and leaves with utmost haste. Smells very nutty and yeasty, very English, actually, nothing great but curious. Starts dry and metallic before the malts bring along a boozy sweetness. Veers into English Brown Ale territory for a while, nutty and laced with dried apples, before fading into a doughy, fairly warm finish. Decent, but excessively hot for an under 8% brew. (5/4/09)
