It has a harmonious taste of coffee and dark chocolate. Unlike most dark beers, it is not sweet. It has a balanced bitterness and a delicate malty taste. It is made from barley malt, special caramel and coloured malts, and two types of hops. It’s one of the most awarded beers in the world in our portfolio.

Bottle, 0.33l. Deep ruby pour, one finger soapy beige head. Short lasting, not much of a lacing. Heavily malty on the nose, caramel notes, roasted. Cocoa, hints of vanilla. Really nice almost stout-like notes. Thin body, soft carbonation. Light mouthfeel, watery texture. Bittersweet taste, quite roasty. Aroma as the nose, strong malt character, caramel, roasted, cocoa. Some milk-like notes. Grainy aftertaste. Licorice. Slight fruitiness. Charred bitter finish. Overall, pretty good dark lager. A bit thin but packed with aroma. Tasty.

0.33 l bottle from 'Pivný raj', best before May 2019. Clear, very dark reddish brown to black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, cocoa and toasted nuts. Medium sweet, malty, slightly roasty and just a little bitter taste of caramel, cocoa and toasted nuts, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and a little grassy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Flaske 330ml spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham og Rune i H7 - “Slovak Session” - 7 Des 17. Svart. Lavt lysebrunt skum. Aroma av kaffe, røstet malt & nøtter. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken nøtter & søt frukt. Ettersmak av lettrøstet malt.

330ml bottle, thanks to djoeye for sharing. A beige head resting on top of a dark brown body with a deep ruby glint. Fair lacing. Moderate roasted malty nose, hints of dark fruits. Blended dark malty flavours, impact of liquorice, dark caramel and dark bread. Subdued roasted end with hints of dark fruits. A nice one. 0.5l bottle. Malty aroma, roasted malty, light caramel, coffee. Brown color, white head. Malty taste, caramel, light coffee, light sweet, light to medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation and malty bitter-sweet finish. Good.
