Slightly hazy red brown color, short off-white head. Aroma of licorice, laurel, some caramel malt. Quite sweet and bitter taste, some whisky notes even. Dry and only slighly alcoholic palate. For me the best of this brewery.

Copper coloured body with a thicker tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and some light english hops. Medium to Full-bodied; Caramel flavour strong up front with prominent malt and pit fruit characteristics. Aftertaste long and sweet-the sugars stick around for a while. Overall, a nice beer-good and strong with plentiful sweetness. I sampled this pint from draught at the Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel on The Rocks in Sydney, Australia on 07-June-2004.
