(Keg at Black Door, 20130725) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, sweetness, malta and bitterness. Afteraste was sweet and harshly bitter. An decent but too unbalanced brew.

Pours gold with a fading head.Nose shows grassy, herbal and spicy hops along with biscuity malt and subtle honey. Very Czech pilsner, just on steroids.Similar flavours, more spicy and grassy hops and prominent biscuity malt. Finishes with an assertive bitterness, almost sharp. Very lengthy.Nice moderately-high carbonation and light body works well.

Bottle shared with Nellie at the hotel in Rome - picked up at Domus Birrae. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Sugary white bread aroma, some cereal, hay. Medium sweet flavor with lots of simple white bread malts, mellow alcohol kick, some ripe tropical fruits, a bit of hay. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with more simple, lightly dried white bread, low bitterness, straw, dough. Easygoing for a strong pils.

Draught Small whitish head over faintly veiled orange-yellow beer. Strange roasted streak in the aroma, superimposed on fresh grain, grass and weeds. Fresh-smellign. Warming up, a smell of muesli. Again muesli in the flavour, other grains. Bit weedy/herbal too. Sweetish, if covered by the hoppy bitterness, however shortlived. Slick, medium bodied, bit undercarbonated. Nice.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beerfest ’13.

Sampled draft @ CML Italian Beer Festival 2013. Thx! to Sebletitje. Golden, patchy white head. Smell is thick yeast, very pilsner profile, more substantial malt-bill than usual, light grass, touch bitter,… Taste is thick pilsner malt profile, slightly sweet, lots of grains in a good way, bitter floral, herbal, grains,… Body is quite full for the style. Nice pilsner. When Chuck Norris drinks beer, the beer doesn’t get him drunk. The beer gets Chuck-Noirrised. This was a Budweiser before Chuck Norris got to it :)

Bottle from Pazzeria, Milan, L3122 bb 30.03.14
Cloudy blond color with medium sized head. It has a nice aroma of pilsner malt and noble hops. It has some good malt flavor, but not the crispness I’m used to; good bitterness level, with a grassy touch, but the light sweetness in the end is out of place, and it doesn’t have enough noble hop character.
Good but with some doubt; I’m quite sure I would prefer a non imperialized version.
