Bottle. Rubyish black colour with a mediumsized longlasting foamy beige head. Aroma is vanilla, dried fruits, some mild alcohol and toffee tones with mild fructose. Flavour is dried fruits, some alcohol, mild raisins, plum and some toasted malty tones to it.Nice sipper.

Tap @ Baileys Taproom, Portland. Pours hazy dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, dark fruits, toffee, vanilla, light hoppy notes, earthy. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruits, some bitterness and light roast, coffee.

Bottle at cgarvieuk tasting. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Nose - wood spice and booze. Brandy balls. Wood and chocolate. Taste - wood spice, sultanas. Prunes and wood. Palate - medium to full bodied with a rich sweet middle and finish. Nice linger and taper on the finish. Overall - lovely.

Bottle at Craig's. Pours jet black with a thin tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, dark fruits and treacle. Taste is more of the same. Luxurious and smooth finish.

Bottle. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, caramel, nutty. Taste is nutty, caramel, vanilla, very nice walnut character. Very velvety mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Awesome, beautifully balanced, full and viscous!

Lett fyldig s�dmerik lukt med preg av m�rk malt, humle, bourbon, m�rkt sukker, vanilje, sjokolade, litt alkohol og gras. Lett s�dmerik og t�rr smak med preg av m�rk malt, humle, tre, bourbon, sjokolade, vanilje, m�rkt sukker, gras, alkohol, kakao. Middels bitterhet som set litt, litt utt�rrande munnf�lelse. Veldig god.

22 oz bottle @ home, massive thanks to richiesd. Clear deep dark brown color. Firm rocky beige head with reasonable retention. Aroma's: sweet, caramel, oak, vanilla, bourbon, some red/dark fruit. Retronasal it's about the same, sweet, dark/red fruit, toffee, oak. Flavor is above moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Warming alcohol. Above medium bodied. Long finish with some wood and light bitterness. FW's done it again.

22oz bottle pours out a dark cola color with some amber notes topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice big sweet toffee caramel barrel vanilla and pit fruit. taste is more of the nice barrel forward notes lots of sweetness. Very enjoyable

Big thanks to this one Kraddel! Bomber sampled. Black, tanned head on the sides. Nose is light oxidation, dusty cellar followed by mocha, chocolate, oak vanilla sweet, mellow balanced. Light oxidation upfront, dusty but otherwise, mellowed out creamy bourbon, vanilla oak, mocha, lightly boozy, coffee, more silky & slick than you would expect, chocolate cake, maple faint, caramel, vanilla oak sweet,... Shame about the light oxidation but otherwise really superb beer as expected.
