Pours black with a light tan head.Nose shows old coffee and soft roasted malt. Little else.Very similar flavours; old coffee grounds and dry roasted malt. A little sweetness underneath shows up later.Body could be a bit thicker, feels a little weak at the moment.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and solid herbal coffee. Bitter, roasted malty and herbal coffee. Bitter and toasted dark malty. Lingering coffee. Roasted malty and bitter dry finish.

CBC. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and heavy coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish. 040513

Tap @ CBC. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, vegetable and coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, little liquorice, hop and a little bitter.

Sample at CBC 2013, Saturday. Black with a creamy tan head. Roasted malt, some caramel, light fruit, coffee. The finish was on the dry side.

On tap at CBC, pours a near-black with a small beige head. Aroma of a cold cup of coffee, not much else. Flavour of cold coffee, light roast, and more coffee. Very coffee dominated, with a simple palate. Not the best stuff, but certainly drinkable.

Draft. A brown beer wiht a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and coffee, leading to a dry finish.
