Our first lager! Super crisp, clean and drinkable with a noticeable hop bitterness and aroma from big whirlpool additions of Saaz and Blanc.

Slightly unclear pale straw with some bubbles on top. Sweet and dry malts, pilsmalt, hay. Soft and dry grainy. Fresh mineral source water feel, refreshing, with some malty sweetness.

Big can, as Deya do, at home, 11th October 2020. Pours a clear straw yellow. Aroma is fresh grass, hay and straw. Taste is clean and refreshing, straw and grain, bitter and a nice linger in the finish, good, but not as great as the Italian Pils

Can from HoTD. It pours lightly hazy pale lemon yellow with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, clean, cereal, white bread, hay, touch of custard creams, grass and hint of nougat. The taste is crisp and dry, clean and snappy, bitterness, light and fresh, grass, touch floral, herbal almost, straw, white bread, pithy lemon with some peppery spice on the back end with a drying finish. Lighter end of medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Clean, fresh, nice hit of bitterness. Effortlessly drinkable. I mean by the end of the can I want more. Brilliant.

Can ordered from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Musty earthy cardboard aroma with underlying citrus. Pale light gold with a haze to it. Creamy white head. Light-medium bitter. Citrus edge. Smooths out with a touch of watermelon-esque sweetness and musty malts. Crisp bitterness throughout. Light bodied but lifted by the slick mouthfeel and soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Decent stuff even if it doesn't excite me.

Can from Londis, Knighton, Leicester. Light gold, mostly clear. Little bit of white head. Light citrus - I'm getting lime zest and some orange peel - with hay, floral notes and a bit of melon. Bittersweet taste. Crisp and clean with bright fruity hop notes. Some gluey resinous flavours in the aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Unexpectedly beautiful.
