Our first lager! Super crisp, clean and drinkable with a noticeable hop bitterness and aroma from big whirlpool additions of Saaz and Blanc.

Very pale gold with a thin head. Light toasted malt, a bit zesty, light citrus, light yeast. Thin body. Crispy finish. Not bad. Refreshing. Needs more oomph.

Can from Gloucester Services Farm Shop. Rich yellowy-gold with a lasting foamy white head and a light fizz. Lemon peel and minerals up front, with hay and herbs coming through. There's just enough sweetness in the malt to balance out the mild but lasting dry, bitter finish. Crisp and clean and very tasty; a cracking pils.

Growler from LCB. Light misty gold with small white top. Aroma of grains, mixed citrus peel, minerals, straw. Taste of lightly toasted grain, lemon pith, minerals and quite leafy. Moderate crisp bite. Quite dry and abrasive mouthfeel but overall quite good.

Can. Near clear gold beer, good off white head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation but could be crisper for me. Bready malts says the can and it doesn't lie, they are pleasantly bready. Modest lager tang. Modest citric hops, somewhat ripe. A light finish. Probably a good beer with a curry but I just wanted crisper and more noble hoppy.

Panda from Low Cost Beer. Appearance - golden with a light haze and a white head. Nose - shrubbery, cucumber and general salad. Taste - bread, then bitter salad but still with some cucumber going on. Palate - light bodied, dry finish. Overall - interesting nose, then fell away.
