Soft, subtle, and so clean you can taste the field the barley grew in. Less is more in these lagers, and balance is the goal. The yeast, time, and talent we put into our Helles produce light notes of honey and soft herbal hops with just a hint of bitterness.
Subtlety can't be faked, which is why this is one of our favorite styles to make.

16 oz. can purchased at Total Wine - Melbourne, FL. Pours a mostly clear gold color with a very large white head and excellent retention. Lots of streaming bubbles. Great lacing too. Very bready malt aroma. Bready malt flavor to match the nose, and a light hops bite in the finish. Tastes like a golden ale to me. Clean and smooth mouthfeel. Well made but boring.

Clear gold with white head. Soft malt aroma. Sweetish malt taste with enough hop to keep it from getting too sweet. Clean finish

Can. Clear golden body with a white foamy head. Aroma of bread, toasted grain, cracker, herbal hops, grassy. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Taste of mineral, light floral hops, grass, herbs. Clean. Crisp at the start, a bit fuller in the finish. Nice lager.

Can from Beer Baron. Pours a mostly clear gold with a finger of white foam that lingers, then dissipates. Bready malt aromas with some dough, sweet malt and faint hop aromas. Some more bready, lemon and light herbal hops on the finish. Definitely sweeter than I prefer, but there is some tingle of peppery hops on the finish. Some light honey at the end with the hop notes.

16 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 6/12/2019. Pours crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of bready malts and earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome robustness, and balance of bready malts and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with not fruity/yeasty notes. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an awesome Germal helles. All around awesome robustness, and balance of bready malts and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/drying finish; not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome clean Pils/Munich malt showcase, with perfectly balanced Noble hop presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected. Great Summer brew.
