From a pint can. Pours a clear gold with a big white head. Aromas of bread and grain. Flavors slightly bitter with plenty of malt sweetness. Nice brew.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma is lightly grassy with some bready accompaniment. Med body. Flavor is lightly grassy/spicy with bready support. Not all that sure about Czech - blind taste I'd have said German. Dry. Moderately bitter.

Christmas can. Bright golden brew and a frothy white head. Nose is grassy and biscuits. Taste of grass, peppery, light herbal tones, some dough. Crisp palate. Easy drinking and tasty.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a yellow tint and a very thin, single centimetre tall pure white head that fades fast. Aroma of deep malts with some grainy and biscuity notes with some light yeast, but also a good hit of both citrus/lemons and some astringency from cleanser and more pungent notes. Light-bodied; Strong deep malty flavours dominate here with some noticeable astringencies and deep medicinal tastes, but some lighter citrus and malt flavours make this enjoyable throughout while providing a relatively light, but noticeable robust maltiness, but is still fairly easy-drinking. Aftertaste is dry, fairly malty, but showing some of the nice complexities - the lemons, the grass and the biscuity malt notes make this robust, but easy-drinking-ish. Overall, a nice, crisp, light lager that has a good deal of flavours, a smooth but noticeable complexity and a robust backbone of malts with aherbal, dry profile. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 19-June-2020 for US$3,23 sampled at my house here in Washington on 02-September-2020.

Pours a nice dark straw from a can. Grassy aroma and flavor, a little skunky. Good beer.

Gold pour. Earthy smell with medium carbonation. Wheat, grass, and oat flavors.

Pounder: Hay nose, mildly fecal. Clear yellow, medium head. Hay and grass. Medium body, easy carbonation.

16 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 7/2/019. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, pear, red apple, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with good balance of pale malts and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins through the glass. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a delicious Czech pilsner. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Great soft feel, not aggressive or watery for the ABV. Great clean pils malt showcase, and noble hop presence/balance for the style. Mild residual sweetness with lingering crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example.
