The Vermonter is a dry, gin botanical cider made by slowly fermenting apples and adding juniper essence. With its piney nose, the juniper berry is the unifying ingredient in the production of gin, and when these woody yet floral berry notes are added to cider, the resulting beverage could easily pass for a sparkling cocktail. The resulting cider is homegrown but refined.
Tasting Notes: Alpine meadows, spring wildflowers, and the Green Mountains themselves.

Can from Craft Brewed. Originally only available in Vermont, but this has found its way to Nashville. Pours a clear, light straw color with no head and minimal carbonation. Strong coriander seed aromas with lemon zest, pear green apple and junior berry. Stronger juniper and pear on the palate with some sweet apple at first, then becoming more tart as it moves along the palate. Drier finish with crab apple, peach skin and coriander. Pretty good, but a touch too sweet and slightly too noticeable of an alcohol presence. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Vermonter on 09 Jul 2019 at 09:40 - Score: 7. Original review text: Pear and crabapple aromas as it warms with some sweet apple, yeast and hay notes. Coriander comes through as well. Sweet-tart notes. Drying.

Stack of single 16oz cans from my local supermarket in BK of all places. Rare Vos glass. Sparkly, sizzling, vibrant, pale gold body. Smells of sharp apples/pineapple & something rounder & curious like papaya. Crispy, slightly laquered, tight sharp bittersweet apples. Hit of papaya again. The can says gin barrel. Fruity, minerally & tight like good sparkling wine. Neutral, no funk like in some of their other offerings. Strong sulfites, moderately boozy. Faint florals. Finishes smooth & lightly sweet. Subtle & very well made.

Great! Lt tart red/yellow/crisp apples; fruit peel/gin/juniper/oak/honey/herbal/floral/grass/yeast earth; lt pepper/funk. Semidry/semicrisp carb. Some acid/tannin drying. No astringent. Very smooth. Great apple complexity, nice gin barrel/honey presence.
