The Vermonter is a dry, gin botanical cider made by slowly fermenting apples and adding juniper essence. With its piney nose, the juniper berry is the unifying ingredient in the production of gin, and when these woody yet floral berry notes are added to cider, the resulting beverage could easily pass for a sparkling cocktail. The resulting cider is homegrown but refined.
Tasting Notes: Alpine meadows, spring wildflowers, and the Green Mountains themselves.

Can pours yellow pale color, quick white head fades to nothing. Nose is a gin whisky laced mixed drink. First taste is sweet tart apple cider fer sher. Reminds me of those Sweetarts candy I used to buy as a kid. Good level of co2. I do detect some gin whisky aspects in there, mildly. Curious if it adds anything to the ABV or if its just for effect. Goes down fairly easy in the middle. No real ill character but the flavor of the juniper gin towards the end is readily apparent. Quite unique, yet well balanced, the adjuncts are not in yer face. Not bad, better than expected.

Sample courtesy of Cheeseboard, cheers Simon! Yellow gold colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of apple, herby, floral, zesty, funk. Taste is tangy, tart, appley, alittle funk, and gin, herbal, musky, citrus notes, with some light acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry citric finish. Quite drinkable.

330 ml can from Old Shoe, Sheffield. Pours clear gold with dissipating white bubbles. Floral, herbal, light sharp, juniper type gin botanicals. Towards sweet in taste. Medium body with spritzy carbonation. An interesting flavour journey, I enjoyed it.

Perfume, avon soap, apple. Clear yellow. Apple, perfume. Light body, easy carbonation. It's different, but I don't think I like it. Extremely soapy.

355ml can from Stowe Public House & Bottle Shop. Bright golden yellow pour. Gin botanicals coming through on the nose alongside sweet apple fruit. Definitely a herbal side to it with a definite juniper berry influence. Clean, neat and sweet overall.

Not VT only. I’ve seen cans and now had at keg at work in bean town tastes of botanicals, tart apples, grass, some grapefruit, herbs. Decent body. Good cider

12 ounce can from Vintage Estate, 9/19/22. New cidery! Vermont #6. Clear amber, lots of visible carb, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of juniper, floral notes, tart apple. Taste is dry apple, juniper. Crisp. Nice. 1700th USA brewery! But the brewery count didn't go up. So the country breweries increase but overall breweries do not. Good ole RateBeer.

16 oz. Aroma is pear, apple, apple core, funky, boozy. Pours a slightly hazy pale hue somewhere between clear water and yellow with no head. Taste is moderately tart, lightly sweet, with notes of apple, funk, match heads, weird gin-like botanicals. Experimental, weird stuff, and unlike any other cider I've had, but it's pretty tasty.

On tap at Schilling - PDX, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle sweetness, with subtle funk and straw. Flavour is along the same lines, with moderate sweetness. Not much complexity. Meh. Kinda lame.
