Bottled. Black colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is bitter coffee, roasted malts with some mild fruity tones. Flavour is coffee, some roasted malts, floral, fruity and some lemongrassy notes. Different, but actually a nice CDA, which blends together elements I usually don't like being together.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with ruby hints when seen through light. Firm, lasting, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, orange peel, dark bread, liqourice and spicy hints of rosemary or thyme. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, orange peel, dark bread, pine needles and a generous piney coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made. Nice one.

Bottle courtesy of RoNo. Thought I had missed out on this one but luckily finally got to try this. Pours blackish brown with a creamy beige head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is malty and tiny fruity with roasted malts, grapefruit rinds, dark roast coffee, salty liquorice candy, black currant leaves, moist soil, burn caramel, lemon zest, pine needles, resinous wood and hints of red berries. Taste is heavy bitter, malty and tiny fruity with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, grapefruit juice, red berries, burnt caramel, liquorice fudge, charred wood, resinous pine cones, ash, chalk, burnt cookies, grapefruit rinds, black currants and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is tiny round, roasted astringent, tiny roasted tart and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with heavily roasted malts, dark roast coffee, grapefruit rinds, salty liquroce candy, pine needles, resinous wood, burnt caramel, black currant leaves, ash, chalk and lemon zest. A solid tasty BIPA on the heavy bitter side.
