Black color with creamy beige head and nice lace. Very nice aroma, pungent hops, citrusy and tropical, passion fruit, and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is smooth but quite dry; very strong flavor of burnt malt and burnt coffee, way over the line and without grace; strong ending bitterness, the final is very ashy, also resiny.
With all this burnt character I can expect some success in Scandinavia.

Bottle at home in London - many thanks to Fredrik for the trade! Pours deep brown with a large, creamy tan head. Well roasted dark malt nose, hints of dark chocolate, some earth, charred toast, background coffee. Medium sweet flavor with lots of piney hops, moderate bitterness, good roast, oily chocolate, toasted grass, hints of grapefruit. Medium to full bodied with fine to average, oily and creamy carbonation. Good and resinous to finish with a bit of dry, torched malts, ripe citrus, lots of burnt pine, dirty grass, earth, burnt wood, mild tobacco, some cocoa. Delicious black IPA. Hefty but still balanced and drinkable.

Big beige head. Barely translucent black body goes deep dark red at edge. Floral wooden citric aroma with rubbery coffee notes. Dry-sweet tropical fruit and citrus taste with roasty burnt notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry roasty tropical fruit aftertaste with citric resiny notes. Nice, drinkable black IPA that’s fairly straightforward, yet more harmonic than many. (0.33l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Bottled:
Dark brown pour with a rich head on top. Lots of cookie dough and citrusy hops on the nose with roasted malt in the background. Flavour is strong coffee and perfumy hops. Long, dry roastiness. A bit unbalanced.
