On tap at Borefts 2015. Clear, dark brownish amber, creamy, tan head. Sourish, fruity-malty aroma, dark cherries, red grapes, wood, vinegar, lovage. Very sweet, slightly sourish, smoky taste of chocolate, dark cherries, molasses, a bit of charcoal. Long, slightly bitter, smoky finish. Full body, very oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very complex, great.

Bottled 21-07-2015. Very boozy! Dark and fruity flavors, very dense. Bittersweet, with a heavy bitter and woody aftertaste. Powerful stuff.

Bottle huge thanks to solidfunk not sure if he realized I lost a traditional ale rating recently and needed one badly. Anyways still reeling from excitement of Federer win so pop something nice. Murky brown pour. Nose is dark fruits and woody. Tastes of fig, tobacco, wood, caramel, plum, red wine residue. Smooth palate. Sweeter and rich aftertaste.

Dark amber color with a fine head. Good intensity in the aroma. Full body and a soft carbonation level. A bit oily texture. Sweet, but not cloying. Good complexity in the aroma. Dried fruits, toffee, oak and mild smoke in the back. Lovely evening sipper. Well masked alcohol.

330 mL bottle, bottled on 7/21/2015. Muddy, brown color, with no head. Dried dates and burnt toast leap from the glass, with some layers of licorice, gin, cedar, and allspice. Sweet and spicy up front, with a light bitterness and some boozy warmth through the finish. Heavy body, powdery, creamy, and smooth. This is a bizarre and genuinely unique beer, but very tasty. Great malt character and depth. Singular.

330 ml bottle. The beer is dark brown and looks very cloudy, probably a good bit of sediment in there. Small creamy beige head. The aroma is full of brown sugar, caramel and other sweet, toasty malt flavors. Light sweet fig and raisin. Decent hit of whiskey. Mild vanilla, some oak. Nice leathery depth. Taste is quite sweet. Pretty strong booze heat, goes fairly well with the flavors. Almost a light smokiness. Strong dark caramel, light chocolate. Full mouthfeel. A bit sticky and hot, but I sort of like that about the beer.

Finally found this beer listing. RBSG2016 grand tasting thanks to the duff, duffman, big thanks! Leather smell. Rootbeer appearance. Flat on the palate. Sweet whiskey taste is over the top. Sweetness and over the top, yet stealth-fully friendly. Wow, how can traddy be so intoxicating?
