Draft sample @ Birra Expo’14, Piacenza. Dorée, paille trouble, col épais blanc. Arôme offre de suite un agréable parfum houblonné fruité d’agrumes.Palais est léger, malt blé, citronné moyen sur une petite douceur fruité et épicée de coriandre. Le tout est fruité très frais avec un côté citron vert pour un houblonné noble et un peu sec en fin de bouche. Solide blanche et confirme la place de Retorto parmi les meilleurs craft d’Italie.

Bottle, 75cl. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, off-whitee head on top. Lots of coriander on the nose, some lemon peel and orange, and a faint touch of malts. Flowers too. A bit thin on the palate, and maybe a bit hard on the carbonation, and also a bit low on the carbonation level. Coriander and citrus fruits dominates the flavor too, leaving little room for the malts. Low bitterness in the end, but at a pleasant level. A refreshing and quite tasteful one, although a bit too flowery I think. 121109
