Licorice, chocolate, and bourbon. Indulgent, but in a good way. Not overly sweet, but holy hell at the whiskey...which isn’t a complaint. Tasty. Deserves more notes, but I gotta go grocery shopping.

Draft at TailGate Music Row. Pours a deep brown to black with a small beige head that dissipates quickly to a ring. First sniff gives way to bourbon and chocolate notes but then tart plum & faint woody Brett notes come out as it warms. Bourbon & light chocolate notes again on the palate, but quite tart. More plum, raisin & Brett. Shame to say but best case scenario there was a sour or bretted beer on tap before this and the lines weren't properly cleaned or worst case scenario some bugs got in the beer and it's infected. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Barrel Aged Drewcifer on 04 Jan 2019 at 21:53 - Score: 5.
