Bottle. Pours clear reddish black, medium creamy tan head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is dusty, molasses, roast, cherries, floral notes. Surprising to me. Flavor is light sweet, light funky, dusty, very light bitter. Cherry chocolate, dust. Medium body, high carbonation. Interesting and unusual.

Bottle from BCS. Pours a clear dark brown with a big soapy beige head. Strong aromas of chamomile and lavender with nutmeg and cinnamon on the nose as well. Cola-like mouthfeel with average carbonation. A little heavy for a saison, but still pretty nice. The floral flavors really standout. Would like more carbonation and more funky yeast...urban farmhouse and flemish kiss are way better imho.

On tap at fat head Portland pub. Pours out a crisp brown topped with a sand head. Nose is floral and lots of perfume. Taste is more of the perfume and a nice malt bill.

Draft @ Rogue Broadway. Light brown. Spicy, floral nose and palate. Good balance, gentle dark sugar, good spicy brew.

Bottle - Big Hibiscus and Lavender notes off the bat. Floral and herbal. Deep dark and black with a foamy rich beige head. Malty, grassy, sweet herbal notes. Odd to be sure, the floral notes with the malts are strange.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark brown color, almost black, with compact brownish head. Tastes like a soapy Stout; there are some roasted malts, a minty touch, rosemary, sage, soap.
Not very pleasant. The beer soul has been twisted too much.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a dark amber with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out loads of spices and grains, with notes of chamomile and rye-like grains. Flavour is very spicy and oddly pleasing, with chamomile, spelt / rye, and some lightly tart herbal notes. I'm not usually one for weird spiced beers like this, but I quite enjoyed this. Well-designed and cohesive.

Keg at the brewery, 09/11/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate light tan spotting and edgework. Nose is dark fruit rinds, earthy, barnyard, spice, biscuit. Taste comprises marjoram, spice, dark fruit rinds, ginger tinge, herbals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid work.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a medium white head. A big floral and spicy nose. Pretty intense flavor: raisin, yeast, loads of spices, herbs. Round and pretty easygoing. I enjoyed it.
