650ml bottle. Pours dark with a little tan head. Sweet coffee, vanilla, little cherry and plum, toffee. A big bitter sweet cacophony of coffee and fruit, followed by a controlled bitter roast finish. Nice smooth body. Delicious.

Bottle from Worldwide Alcohol bottle shop, Chelmsford, shared at Dan’s. Abv 6.2%. Pours cloudy dark brown, lots of sediment, with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of coffee, roasted chocolate. Heavy sweetness and moderate roasted coffee bitterness. Medium to full body and oily texture, carbonation is average. Had hoped to be more impressed.

Bomber from World Beer Market. A deep cola with a light brown head of foam. The aroma is lactose & sweet coffee with a bit of roastiness. The taste is bittersweet, coffee, lactose with a Nutella-chocolate finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle from Perry’s. It pours a ruddy dark brown color with a small light tan head. The aroma has some dark bread, hints of coffee and cocoa along with some rather strong jalapeno notes that can sometimes accompany these kinds of beers. The flavor is the same. Mild roasted coffee, bread with noticeable jalapeno and acidity. A bit roasted, nutty and acidic in the finish. The body seems on the light side as well. Overall, not bad but I wasn’t really impressed. It needs to lose the pepper flavors and gain some body.

Bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown with a broken off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, coffee, molasses. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a light, slightly watery, liqourice bitter, burnt toffee, coffee, dark chocolate palate and a lingering coffee bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I’d prefer a little more body but there is plenty going on flavour wise.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a fluffy creamy head. Nose - massive coffee bean plus milk chocolate. Taste - toffee and coffee coming through at the back, toffee returns on the finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy & sticky middle section and a fairly dry and balanced finish. Overall - a nice beer. Some different layers going on.
