Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Clear copper with a thin head. Aromas of fruit with a hint of caramel. Well-balanced taste between sweet and bitter. Nice carbonation with a watery mouthfeel. Light and refreshing with a crisp finish.

5.2% 600 yen for 10oz at Bungalow. Brooklyn Lager brewed by Hitachino Nest. A nice clear amber color with a filmy white head. A malty hop-fruity aroma. The taste is bitter at first, then malty with a kind of floral sweet finish. Nice easy drinking stuff. Well balanced between fruity & bitter with the malts playing a solid back up.
