Thirsty Trout is a rich, robust American Porter. Dark brown in color with medium to heavy body and hints of light roast. Aromas of chocolate leave way to a full mouthfeel and somewhat sweet finish to make this porter a desirable companion. Thirsty Trout is a rich, robust American Porter that will have you yelling "CHOCOLATE!" after the first whiff. Dark brown in color with medium body and hints of light roast. The aromas of chocolate cupcake lead the way to a sweet caramel and toffee body that finish beautifully with hops. Stay trout my friends.

Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee, light liquorice. Flavour is roasty, malty, more chocolate and coffee, low sweetness, low bitterness. Smooth and easy Porter, could have used a bit thicker body.

Backlog July 2015. Dark brown, almost black body under a small, lacing beige head. Aroma is mostly roasted dark malt with a hint of dry fruit. Taste is sweet, roasted dark malt, coffee, dark fruit and pleasant bitterness. Fine body and smooth in aftertaste. A nice, tasty porter.

Dark brown pour with some mahogany around the edges and a medium beige head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Sparse patches of lace. Malty aroma with chocolate and fruit notes. Medium body with flavors of burnt malt, chocolate and mild coffee. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Taphouse 41, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with an amber tinge and a small light brown head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, some chalk, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is rather roasty and minty, with medium roast, light liquorice, and a touch of chalkiness. Properly constructed and bold for a porter. Not bad.
