Glass on tap at Beer Bar North Island. Served in a shaker half pint. Slightly hazy golden yellow with a nice shiny white head. Hints of grass, lemon zest, pine and jasmine floral notes on the nose. Medium body and thin on the palate with a nice dry finish. Solid session IPA that doesn’t get boring. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hop Tea Sorachi Ace Ver. on 30 Mar 2015 at 15:19 - Score: 7

On tap at Yellow Ape. Hop Tea from North Island is a 4.4% sorachi ace single hop session IPA that pours a slight opaque gold with a foamy white head. The hop bouquet is musty pine & lemon, pretty interesting. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation the taste is indeed somewhat tea like with floral notes, lemoney nutmeg & funky cheese. Quite an odd flavor combination but not really unpleasant. Decent, that bitterness really creeps up on you.
