12 oz can. Aroma is citrus, cantaloupe, caramel. Pours hazy orange golden with a one finger bone white head with decent retention. Taste is moderately bitter with some caramel malt sweetness. Pretty average but definitely not bad.

Can at JFK while waiting to depart. Pours rich orange-gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has lots of juicy, ripe citrus fruits, mango, melon, some gooey pine. Medium sweet flavour with a good, sturdy malt foundation, more gooey pine, mild earthy bitterness, ripe citrus, tropical fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation, and rather smooth texture. Nicely resinous on the finish, with notes of lightly toasted malts, bread, melon, orange rind, mango. A good, sturdy all-around IPA. Solid work.

Can from Mitsuya. Drank straight from the can. Grapefruit aroma with some like pine and orange. Lots of citrus on the palate with good pine character as well. Bitterness is kind of spiky and malts had a tired aspect on the finish. Not bad though. --- Beer merged from original tick of IPA on 25 Oct 2015 at 16:40 - Score: 6

Bottle from Albertsons. Seeing some high scores, and not getting it. Pretty average, run of the mill IPA. Well constructed, drinkable, not overly hoppy. Good, but not great.

Location: 12 oz can from Winooski Beverage, 7/10/15

Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, pine/resin on pale malts and a bit of caramel/toffee
Appearance: It pours a darker orange color with a clean off-white head and some fairly heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes of bitter hops, bit more citrus than the aroma, still lots of pine, fairly malty as well
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a long, fairly dry close
Overall Impression: Solid IPA. Definitely on the bitter side. Not a top of style example, but certainly a flavorful enough offering.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about forty seconds.
The smell started off with a burnt caramel malt and a slight toasty effect leading into some crisp citrus to piney hops.
The taste was mostly sweet with a slim bitterness running into the toasty malts. Caramel to lingering citrus (bitter) hoppy aftertaste leads into a semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation finishes decent as an IPA but does have a sly sweetness rolling over my mouth.
Overall, for an IPA coming from the west coast, I’d say, hmmm....if you’re going to send to Vermont, either send better stuff or fresher, no need to seek this out again.
