Belgian Style Pale Ale

Dry hopped with New Zealand hops and fermented with Belgian yeast this Extra Pale Ale sizzles with intense bouquet of lychee, kiwi and citrus and beams with acidity. A delicious conundrum.

Can. Hazy yellow body with a bubbly white head, diminishing. Light aroma of lemon, pineapple, citrus and a whiff of solvent. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. A bit light on both aroma and flavor with muted Belgian characteristics. Tastes like a bitter light wit beer.

Can from Val-U. Pours a clearish, glowing straw with a finger of soapy foam that lingers a bit. At first a nice Belgian yeast nose, but as it warms tons of motueka and Nelson....lychee, pineapple and passion fruit dominate. Dry with good yeast character on the palate. Dry finish with some peppery notes from the yeast. This slays. 2 months old and still the hops are very loud. A winner.
