Four types of West Coast hops (Chinook, Citra, Centennial and Zeus) add bold notes of pine and juicy grapefruit to this deep golden wheat ale, for a crisp flavor that’s a refreshing escape from winter’s lingering chill.

Not bad. Good fresh hop nose with citrus and some tropical fruit (maybe mango). Flavor similar but more resiny. One downside is that it has a bit of an abrasive mouthfeel. The hops are borderline too resiny almost grassy, there’s quite a bit of carbonic bite, and the malts too chewy. It’s not bad, it’s a good hoppy IPA, just imperfect in construction.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow-gold color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dryish and musty with perfume and floral hops. The flavor was dryish and bitter with perfumey and floral hops. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Strong lillies bouquet. Hazy amber, medium head. Lillies, cat pee hints, dry. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Lacking a malt presence, perhaps due to the crispness of the wheat.

[2/9/17] Can at JFK International Airport in New York City. Hazy golden with a white head. Citric "green" hops, a bit leafy, graininess, quite dry, crisp bitterish finish. Pretty nice and easy-drinking.

Bottle. Lactic lemon, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Lightly sweet lemon, wheat malt, and moderately bitter metallic orange peel flavor. Okay body. I thought the hate for this beer was just the regular anti-Sam Adams/White IPA rhetoric but no - it really is pretty poor. The worst SA beer since their Cherry Wheat.

Bottle from Discount. Pours a hazy, deep gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Crushed pineapple aromas with some faint weedishness. Crisp and dry on the palate. Refreshing with a lingering dry, peppery, crushed pineapple finish.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 5/2017. Pours hazy golden/straw color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderate crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very nice hoppy American pale wheat ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Nicely vibrant/juicy on hop flavors, without being too bitter. Nice malt backbone, but light enough to be refreshing. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle into a Corsendonk tulip on 8th Feb 2017 while on holiday in California. Hazy, dirty orange pour, snow white head of bubbles. Piney hop aroma, fairly hop bitter in the taste, wheat dominates the flavours though: didn’t really enjoy it.
