Wheat ale brewed with West Coast hops

Four types of West Coast hops (Chinook, Citra, Centennial and Zeus) add bold notes of pine and juicy grapefruit to this deep golden wheat ale, for a crisp flavor that’s a refreshing escape from winter’s lingering chill.

Drank rught from the bottle, like any dirty IPA wheat ale should. Good sizzle. Hoppy dull punch. Dregs beak loose and liquid gets more cloudy. Yes, on style, many typically rude wheat ale effects in this. Difficult to take for a wheaty.

Bottle. Golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of resin, pine, green, leafy hops, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy/slick texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of resin, raw grain, pine. Not working for me at all. The flavor profile (resin bomb) combined with the mouthfeel (okra slick and yucky) make this one truly awful beer.

Couple pints at Hamilton DC, pours a hazy, yellow with some frothy white head. Nose is fruity hops, guava grass, some perfume, lemon, herbs. Flavor follows, a little chalky and chewy with dough, but then grass, guava, lemon, perfume. Finishes creamy and lightly bitter. Fairly drinkable. Well done Sam.

Draft at a local bar. Poured a clear orange color, medium sized white head. Aroma was mild. Light lemon notes, earthy hops. Light herbal character. Flavor was light spicy hop notes. Kind of a let down, not overly hopped - not refreshing enough. If the malt backing was a little lighter I think it would have worked.
