A remarkably drinkable Double IPA that pays tribute to one of Mother Nature’s finest creations, as several hop varietals combine for massive aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and pine. A mild caramel malt character and dry finish provide balance.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out a good mix of resinous hops and caramel malt, pretty chewy and malty. Flavour is big and chewy, with a big caramel malt base, followed by loads of resinous hops. Chewy and thick palate without being too sweet. Good stuff for what it is, just a bit too sweet for me.

Bottle: Hazed, amber with a thick, light tan head. Caramel, creamy pineapple, pine aroma. Taste is sweet, tropical, caramel malt. Creamy, smooth, and very easy-going. Light piney bitter. Very good stuff.

12 oz pour picked up in St Pete. Copper orange pour with a cream foam head. Fruity aroma, mostly oranges. Good hop content. Very cool finish. Unique for an imperial IPA as a whole. Love the citrus notes. Smooth finish. Late bitter hop reminder. Bells knows how to make a good beer. Well worth the pocket change this bottle rang me up.

Bottle. It pours an orange color with a frothy off white head. The aroma has mango, peach, a little grapefruit and flowers. The flavor is good with peach, mango and spicy hops. Bready and lightly caramel maltiness. It has a smooth, velvety body. Medium to strong spicy/floral hop bitterness. Nice.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours golden amber with a soft beige head. Lovely floral, citrus, pine aroma. Flavor is slightly floral with plenty of bitter citrus (with a tiny sweet tinge), and pine. This is one tasty double IPA.

Bottle. Tangerine, peach, caramel malt, and pine/grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large eggshell white head. Moderately sweet orange/lime caramel malt and moderately strong bitter pine/lime peel flavor. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Great balance and body.

The commerical description is a bit of a turn off-- a "German DIPA?" Come on! I liked the malty character with the mild bitterness and light tropical fruit and pine. Good, drinkable DIPA. I bought another six-pack.

Old school caramel forward IIPA. Well made but not what floats my boat atm. About a month old and has some bugging cardboard notes as well.
