Bottle received as extra in trade. Thanks Brandon! Pours tiny hazy caramel brown with a small offwhite head leaves some thick sticky lacing in the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, grassy and herbal with caramel, grapefruit juice, moist grass, green herbs, pine needles, resinous wood, moist soil, orange peal, lemon zest and hints of cardboard and alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter, slightly malty, very tiny fruity, grassy and herbal. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with caramel, kumquats, grass and resin. Old school caramel forward IIPA. Well made but not what floats my boat atm. About a month old and has some bugging cardboard notes as well.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/4/2016. Pours slightly hazy bright orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, melon, lemon/orange rind, pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. overall this is an outstanding DIPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

This is how IPAs should be! Pours a slightly-cloudy copper-gold, with smallish head. Aroma of piney hops with lots of citrus. Flavor has a ton of hop bite, with citrus on the finish. Very bitter finish and aftertaste. Think I’ll have another!

Draft - Grapefruit and some pine. Clear gold with a rich white head. Grapefruit, light pith, caramel and malty sweetness. Mellow and easy drinking. Very easy drinking with subdued flavours and nice balance,

Draft at Churchkey during DC Craft Beer Week. Thanks to solidfunk. Poured a golden orange color with a medium white head. Citrus notes, some pine. Decent, balance, toffee, pine. Okay, but no Two Hearted.

4 oz draft pour at ChurchKey. Clear amber with off-white head. Aromas of floral notes, light booze, citrus. Tastes of citrus, lemon/lime, fruit peel, pine. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation.
