Perrin IPA accomplishes the nearly impossible feat of balancing a sweet malty backbone along with a blend of west coast hops, along with Michigan Cascade hops. Which creates a crisp bitterness and imparts massive floral and citrus aromas. This is how an IPA should taste!

bottle - Copper pour. Hoppy aroma with citrus and resin. Flavor is of course quite bitter. Citrus and pine notes are coupled with caramel malt. Medium bodied, tasty IPA.

From a 12 oz. can. Pours a cloudy copper with a thick off white head. Malty aromas with plenty of citrus. Mopderately bitter flavors dominated by citrus and pine. Easy drinking and tasty.

Can, gushed when popped. Cloudy pale vanilla yellow color. Volatile hop nose. Taste is big blasting IPA. What else can be said except it is a terribly on style big bitter IPA that treads into double IPA territory. Somebody please give me an ice cold cheap pale lager as a chaser.Comes across more alky than the 6.5% listed here, wew.

Slightly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a bit of a tan head, only about a centimetre tall. Aroma of fresh grassy and citrus hops with some lighter malt notes and a dose of resin as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and very floral hop flavours at first with some earthy malt and sugars right behind. Aftertaste shows the bittering hops hit hard at first then show a more refined and smooth side with the balance struck just right and despite a lot of grassy hops, a smooth finish. Overall, a nice and well balanced IPA with some fresh grassy and resinous flavours that is more of an East Coast or Midwest IPA than anything else, of course. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan yesterday on 10-December-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Dearborn, Michigan on 11-December-2016.

Can shared at au revoir tokyo at Gremlin. Thanks Gregg! Lots of orange and grapefruit in the nose. A bit of toasted caramel on the palate, more citrus. Easy drinking and the balance is almost perfect. Great midwest IPA.

Sample at Daily Growler UA. Hazy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus and melon, herbal hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

12 oz can, undated as far as I can tell. Immediately foams over when opened. Pours a hazy golden amber with an off-white head. Citrus floral hop aromas with caramel toasty malts. Citrus, pine, floral hops on slightly sweet toasty caramel malt. It’s decent, but the second can immediately foamed over as well. Definitely some kind of overcarbonation problem.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas and big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright/juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon/orange zest, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and light creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
