2014 and 2015 versions. Dark brown, bit of beige foam. Luscious dark fruits. Some liquorice and fig fruits. Taste is full on, smooth but very very flavourful. Itβs not even barrel aged, truly a treat Roast and smooth. Long bitter and dry linger in the finish.

2014 and 2015 bottles shared. Thanks Jonno! Huge fudge chocolate nose with lots of dark fruit, cherry, marshmallow cream, roasted cacao nibs and coffee. Super complex nose. Wow itβs like drinking chocolate syrup really. Some toasted coconut and light vanilla cream with more fudge. Decadent for sure. Really nice imperial stout from Oz. Awesome.

On tap at The Local Taphouse, Sydney on 16th September 2015. Thickly black with terra cotta declining foam and full lacing. Rich and intense roasty, aniseedy, cherry fruit aroma. Intensely roasty in-mouth with burnt coffee, a vanilla touch and Bourneville chocolate. Lingering coffee-flavoured roasty finish. Full-bodied with a smooth, yet engaging texture.

On tap at Bitter Phew, pours black with a large brown head. Aroma is intense, with loads of roasted malt upfront, with lots of hops, and even some bitter dry cocoa. Flavour is really rich, with heaps of roasted malt dominating, with some bitter dry cocoa and fairly prominent hoppiness. Robust palate, with an intensely bitter and roasty finish. Excellent.

On tap at the Local, St. Kilda. They had it titled "The Beast." Dark brown. Creamy, smooth coffee and refined milk 75% chocolate. A touch of alcohol in the finish lends it some heft late. Dessert in a glass, a nice balance of approachable impy that is rich enough to satisfy.

(Bottle) Opaque shiny black with the tiniest tan head. Pleasant complex aroma including raisins and hints of chocolate. Very full body, almost approaching syrupy, with soft creamy carbonation. The taste is full and rich and rather difficult to pin down. The start has a nice sweetness of the rich Christmas pudding variety (although without the spices) which steadily develops balancing tougher flavours including smokey burnt notes, alcohol bite and bitterness. The finish of sticky rich sweetness balanced with bitterness lasts a long time. Fantastic beer.
