Draught @ All in Beer Fest. Pours very hazy goldenish brown with a creamy goldenish brown head that leaves a small ring of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, raisins, prunes, leather, moist soil and alcohol. taste is heavy sweet, bitter, heavy malty and slightly fruity. Mouthfeel is oily round, viscous, slightly syrupy, tiny astringent, slightly boozy and near full bodied. Finish is heavy sweet and slightly bitter with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, hay, raisins, prunes, minerals, lemon zest and alcohol. Very hot but shows cellaring potential.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Nice typical barley wine dark amber to dark red color, beige to light brown head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is heavily malty, heavy malt sweetness, sweet sticky hops with a hint of pine. Tastes the same: heavy malty, sweet, sticky hops with a hint of pine and overall still firmly bitter. Heavy, over the top maybe, but I like it. Nice heavy full barley wine.
