Turbo Bam is a Bam variant brewed in collaboration with our friends at The Masonry from Seattle, Washington.
Conceptualized to be the perfect beer to pair with a delicious slice of pizza, Turbo Bam delivers. A hefty portion of rye malt gives Turbo Bam an underlying spice that allows the coriander and Szechuan peppercorns to build upon. The normal Bam Bière hopping regime of cascade and crystal hops are accentuated with the inclusion of Amarillo hops and lemon peel, to put Turbo Bam into high gear with blasts of lemon, pineapple and mango.
Turbo Bam;
Somewhere in the heart of Seattle, where the sun never shines, and it always glows rain
You’re not drinking the correct beer
From the mean streets of Fremont, to the lower Queen Anne, runs a love supreme
And since you won’t drink the same beer twice
And since Matt would never lay claim to Bam
We had to invent a variant.
Pardon the lack of blue wax

375mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out with bright lemons, farmhouse notes, and earthy notes. Flavour is quite lemony, with farmhouse notes, and some spicy earthy notes. Very fresh lemony character upfront. Decent, but not as good as JP can be.

Hazy, blond. The aroma is really nice, with beautiful brett, soft pale malts, nice coriander accents. On the palate, the coriander stands out, and it has a nice fresh, wheaty sort of character. Nice brett accent to this, and the pale malts are really quite good. This is tasty.

On tap at BrewDog Shepherds Bush. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Funky aroma. Herby in mouth. These Jolly Pumpkin beers are all very similar. It's got good sherbet hops good cereal base. Some decent balance. Interesting but happy to leave them too.

Sampled on draft at 3 Rivers this beer poured a hazy vibrant yellow-gold color with a medium sized fluffy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sourish, bretty, musty and medicinal with a coriander undertone. The flavor was dry, musty, almost bretty with coriander, dust and medicine. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.
