Three hops, three grains, three "Grand Divisions." This IPA has a rye spiciness and crispness with a nice malt backbone from the Two Row and Caramel Malt. Citra, Centennial, and Columbus balance it out with layers of citrus and a pungent, floral nose.

Some citrus hop. Dullish and hazy, with thin head. Nice rye chewiness, pretty clean bitterness, lightly orangey hop. Decent.

Tap at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam. Clean, grainy nose with pine, white grapefruit zest and caramel. Bitter and zesty on the palate, touch of lemon & biscuit. Standard stuff, but well-done.

Closer to a big West Coast IPA than a traditional rye beer, Tryestar still packs a noticeable rye wallop, mostly peeking through on the pine-laced resinous fade. Big citric nose leads to a surprisingly semi-sweet front, but the hops quickly take over and flow into a lovely bitter finish. Great beer.
