12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is intense, with lots of coconut, intense rum barrels, and paint thinner. Flavour is intense, with lots of rum barrels, coconut, and light roast. Lots of booze, with a rummy finish. Very good.

Bottle from Craft Brewed shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a pitch black with almost no head. Big roasty, chocolate malt aromas with fudge brownie, cacao nib and toasted coconut as it warms. Booze comes out on the nose and palate as it warms up as well. Chewy but smooth with a decadent rum brownie character throughout the finish and lingering on the palate. A little hot towards the end, but for the abv totally acceptable. Lingering cacao nib, rum and vanilla coconut cream. --- Beer merged from original tick of Plank'd (2018) on 22 Oct 2018 at 13:40 - Score: 8

12 ounce bottle. Bought for 14$ at ABV. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium light brown head. A huge coconut and roast nose, chocolates too. Very big beer. Sweet, super sweet actually. Cocoa is huge, sweet fruit, some coconut. Mellows a bit with more coconut. I like it, but it is limited by how sweet and beastly it is.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 5/24/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted coconut, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, honey, agave, spiced rum, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness. A bit of booze in the aromas as it warmed, but not overwhelming. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, toasted coconut, and rum barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted coconut, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, honey, agave, spiced rum, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Mild roast/char bitterness, and rum/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted coconut, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, honey, agave, spiced rum, toasted oak, nuts, dark/brown bread, light coffee/licorice/molasses/dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, toasted coconut, and rum barrel flavors; with an awesome roasted bitter/sweet and rum/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, bready, and velvety mouthfeel that is fantastic. Light slickness, stickiness, chalky roast, oak tannins, and increasing dryness. Lightly increasing warmth of 16.2%, with minimal barrel booze lingering after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic barrel aged flavored imperial porter! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, toasted coconut, and rum barrel flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV, with the mildly bitter/tannic/drying finish. This is already ready to go after only 2 months of age. Outstanding balance of rich porter malt complexity and toasted coconut; perfect rum barrel integration, not overly boozy/tannic/drying. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected. Not overly roasty.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aromas of toasted coconut, rum and oak. Very sweet flavor, as you would expect from a 16.2% beer. Drink your desert!
