Het zwaarste bier van Brouwerij de Prael is ook weer op Belgisch leest geschoeid. De zoete karamel geur is opvallend aanwezig in deze afsluiting van de dag.

The strongest beer brewed at Brouwerij de Prael again follows the Belgian tradition. This beer has an impressive, sweet caramel aroma, and is a great way to round off your day.

De Prael Quadrupel. Thanks Ogi for sharing! Dark brown-amber body with a tiny off white head. Full malty aroma, creamy and dry. Creamy taste, raisins, light metallic touches, light alcohol, roastiness, creamy notes, orange liqueur... quite complex and likable. Excellent stuff!

Bottle thanks to Nihtila. Appearance - dark brown with red chinks. A decent head. Nose - molasses and burnt sugar. Taste - more of the same. Caramel. Nuts. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - solid but a little lacking in body for the alcohol level.

Draft at De Prael. Hazy dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruit, prunes, caramel, hair spray that my mum used in the 80s, yeast and sweet malt. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.

Bottle, ABV 11% (from hetbiermoment.nl). Pours dark ruby with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is very sweet, caramel, malt, dark fruits. Flavor is sweet, caramel, dark fruits, alcohol. Finish is burnt bitter, fruits and more alcohol. Overall: ok, but simple and too boozy.

Dark brown color with a minimal and quickly diminishing light beige head. Aroma has notes of brown sugar, ripe fruit and spices. Flavor is slightly sweet, ripe fruits, some dry fruits and raisins with a high presence of alcohol, perhaps too much... Spicy, creamy and light sweet notes in the final.
