Mooi uitgebalanceerd bier met drie verschillende hopsoorten. Krachtiger en een tikje zoeter dan pils. Toch proef je ook een licht bittertje op de achtergrond.

On tap at De Beiaard Café, Amsterdam, Netherlands 29.09.11 on a truly gorgeous, wonderfully warm sunny day. Pours light gold, good clarity and much better looking than the Manke Monnik, the first part of that name perfectly summing up the look of that beer btw. Soft in the mouth with a slight dare I suggest pilsner type bite to it at first which surprised me, however some yeast and a little spice soon suggest that this is more in the style of a Belgian and not a lager A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

29th November 2010.
On tap at De Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam. Slightly hazy gold beer, good white head. Light palate. Slightly dry and a little crispy. Sweetish light malt, a bit of lemon citrus. Slighty creamy malt with a touck of chalk. Finishes semi dry with a nice but subtle tropical fruits note. Unusual. Fresh and tasty.

Tap at de Beiaard, Spui Amsterdam, on 18th March 2010. Gold and hazy with a thick, but quickly decaying, white head. Full-flavoured lemony/grapefruit hoppiness ant first with a bitter and pleasantly long-lasting finish. Zingy mouthfeel. Some grassy notes and just a touch of allspice. Remarkably easy to drink.7.4.8.4.15 Re-rating November 2022: On tap at de Brabantse Aap, Amsterdam on 17th November 2022. Clear gold with shallow yet dense white foam and full lacing. Herby, grassy hoppiness in aroma. Spicy hoppiness in-mouth and a finish of hazelnut and sweet spices. Full bodied with a zingy mouthfeel. An interesting blonde ale. 7 5 7 4 16
