Bottle. A- Malty, caramel, vanilla, oak. A- Dark cooper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Vanilla, malty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Sort of one dimensional with loads of vanilla. Not bad for 5 years old but just kind of a lot of malt and vanilla.

22oz bomber pours with a clear copper mahogany colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up plums, dates, malts, molasses and some booze. The taste delivers similar notes with smooth brown sugar dusted prunes and dates as well as molasses and sweet maltiness. Wow. This is a smooth sipper with somewhat limited depth but that's ok. Solid.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clear chestnut brown with a finger of beige head that sits. Breaded malt aromas with honey, vanilla and oak on the nose. Smooth and creamy on the palate with more vanilla and oak. Some bright, tropical rum notes muted in the background. Lingering honey and malt finish with more vanilla.

22 oz. bottle, date of Feb, 2018. We compared this Side-by-side with Slumbrew Union (2015 vintage). I am surprised by the alcohol being completely covered. I was expecting some (rum is here without a question). Really makes well. The vanilla lasts throughout the sip and mingles well with the dark fruit. Medium in body with a slightly slick texture. Nice!

Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Pours clear ruddy brown with a bubbly/creamy beige head. Aroma of rum, dark malt and seemingly vanilla. Med + body or better. Flavor is moderate treacle with a good dose of rum spice and vanilla. There's a slight bite on my tongue edges - could be rum, could be heat, could be hop. I'm going with rum. I like rum a lot. So drier than many barley wines, spicy, and "bitter" enough to handle the malt. Quite delicious.
