Dit zware witbier heeft een bijzondere toevoeging, buiten het feit dat het bier 6,3% is in plaats van 5%. Tijdens het rijpen van het bier zijn er Hibiscus Bloemen toegevoegd. Deze bloemen geven een zure toon aan het bier een een kenmerkend aroma. Iedere editie van de Stripdagen wordt een tekenaar uitgenodigd om een ontwerp te maken voor het etiket maar ook om een keuze te maken voor het bier dat hij wil laten brouwen. Dit jaar is Hanco Kolk de gelukkige geweest van de strip S1ngle.

Bottle at home. Aroma is grainy malt, floral, spicy, hibiscus, fruity notes, peach, touch of bubble gum. Flavour is light sweet and bitter with a hint of sour. Body is medium. Nice beer, I expected spice overkill but that’s hardly the case.

Bottle shared at THT, bought at Stripdagen Haarlem in 2016. Hazy pale amber with reddish hue, thin white head. Nice unusual color. Sweet malts, coriander, strawberry, lemon, mild bitter tea. Under medium sweet, mild bitter. Medium body, bit tea-like texture, soft carbonation, interesting spin on the witbier style. Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy orange with a thin white head. Notes of unfermented barley wort, caramel, passion fruit, orange and lemon juice. Medium body, medium carbonation and a hop bitter-sweet aftertaste.

75cl Bottle from Jopen Proeflokaal Waarderpolder. Murky pinkish pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of a bit of hibiscus, light fruity tartness, wheat, some citrus, all very faint. Flavour follows, not very outspoken. OK-ish.
