Can. Lightly hazy light gold body. Frothy white head, rapidly diminishing. Light aroma of toasted grain, straw, floral hops. Sweet start, light to moderate bitterness in the finish with light tartness. Medium body, watery/sticky texture. Taste of citrus, toasted grain. Could be crisper. Grain in the aftertaste.

Impressive pils, a tasty mix of crackery malts with a hint of sweet grain and loads of floral Saaz hop goodness. Mild citrus notes add depth, while a bready back end provides a nice counterpoint to the bitter, citric-tinged hops. Finishes bright and clean. Nose is grainy with some white bread yeast, while the pour's kinda lackluster, coming out a pale gold with a brief white head and spotty lacing. Perfect medium-light texture, though, and this pint sure did disappear quickly. Better than it scores.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Bready malt aromas with light grassy, peppery hops. Clean and crisp, light bodied. Grainy notes with lingering peppery hop character. Super crushable and clean lager with no weird off flavors. --- Beer merged from original tick of Saaz Smash Pils on 23 May 2018 at 21:28 - Score: 7.
