4th July 2019, 33cl bottle in De Bierboom, Brugge. Golden pour, white head. Not much going on for a Belgian Tripel, light herbal and veg like aroma, taste on the semi-sweet malty side.

Huge, very dense if not very stable, whipped eggwhite-like head fed by lively carbonated yellow golden beer. End of bottle some serious UFO's. Putrid vegetable, decaying greenery - thankfully only for a short time, then more classical pale malts, sugar, and light herbs emerge. Taste, alas, gives more of the same: a sharp spike of sourish vegetable/greenery, long overdue. Typical tripel high attenuation, finish hints at the honey. Sharp MF, irritating, burning. Very lively carbonation that emphasizes the sharp MF.. In the end, not very pleasing.

F: medium size, bit off-white, not long lasting. C: bit orange/deep gold, hazy with yeasty debris. A: malty, orange peels, phenolic, green fruits, yeasty, not good. T: malty, bready, spicy, spoiled yeasty, juniper alcohol, not good balanced with many flaws in aroma and taste, quite weird bio beer, not enjoyed, medium body and carbonation, 33cl bottle from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.

Clear deep golden colour, tall frothy white head, recedes quickly, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malts, caramel, honey, yeast, herbal notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, orange peel, bitter herbs, bitter hops. Bittersweet aftertaste, dusty, astringent. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, disappointing.

29/XII/16 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Delft - BB: VII/2017 (2016-1515)
Clear blond beer, huge irregular white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: yeasty, bit spicy, herbal, coriander, dusty impression. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sourish start, lots of coriander, citrus, soft bitterness, dry, dusty. Decent but not exciting.

At Maakun’s. sampled from bottle. Hazy pale amber with thin white head. Sweet malts, big in the yeast department. Bitter orange peel, lemon and coriander. Bit alcoholic. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium body, average carbonation. Bittersweet vegetal finish. Nice droste effect in the cheesy-ass label. --- Beer merged from original tick of Liza on 04 Nov 2016 at 22:30 - Score: 6. Bottle shared. Slight hazy darker golden with white head. Lots of sweet grains, bitter herbs, some yeast, weird plastic notes, dusty grain husks, old lemon rind. Under medium sweet and bitter with light sourness. Over medium bodied. Unremarkable.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow golden color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, something really weird in there, it reminds me lightly of fingerpaint and I also get a weird blue grapepeel sweet-sourish flavor. Very weird. Don’t like it.
