Bottled. Yeasty, spicy nose with citrus. Pale gold-yellow color. Lemony flavor, with hay, sweet and sour, soft and light. Decent but too much like lemony for a saison.

Total Wine, Fairfax 650ml ($6): Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is slightly of funk, but only when it warms up for a bit: mostly it is like a thin Belgian ale. Taste is dry, slightly bitter, and kind of thin. Lemon notes are present for sure. This feels almost a bit watery. The funk is sorely missing in most of this. I don’t get the refreshing saison kick from this at all really. All in all somewhat of a disappointment.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a hazy golden color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready and grainy notes with spice, caramel and a little bit of a buttery note. The taste is bread, stone fruits, spice, apple and spicy, earthy hops. Medium bodied.

Bottle (Release #4). Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a massive white head that lasts. Good lace. Carbonic aroma until swirled out. Phenolic, nutty, peppery, huge 4vg clove. CO2, lavender, pear, peppery, nice phenolic, mild esters (apple, pear), light earthy hop, light grainy malt quality. Flavors show medium esters up front (apple, pear, candied fruit, pineapple, raw stonefruit), dry, light alcohol, suntan lotion, grainy malt, medium phenol, curacao zest. Crackery, nearly wheat like malt. Lively bubbles, feels a touch bigger than expected, dry, medium to low bodied. Decent.

Draft. Sweet aroma and finish, too sweet, too light and not enough barnyard to be a classic saison.

22 oz bottle got in a trade with Sledutah. Release # 1 printed on bottle. Golden hazy poor. Great retention. Some wheat background with banana, orange, Belgian spice, kind of like a Wit beer (which we happen to like very much). A tad tart with a yeast like finish. A very nice Saison that was very tasty. Shared bottle with Lite wait.

Bomber courtesy of douglas88. Pours hazy bright gold with bright white head. The aroma has a mild level of funk, a bit of pepperiness, wet leather, apples, pears, a slight mineral sense and assorted yeasty spices. The taste has a touch of pepper leading into spices and then apples, pears, mild funk and more spiciness. Toward the finish a yeasty notes joins in to add a little extra texture to the after taste. Yummy stuff.
