Tap at the Denver taproom - clear gold - a rather straightforward, mostly clean saison - a bit of pepper and slight off phenols of plastic - medium dry, crackery malts and grassy hops - mildly sweet finish - not a lot going on, but nothing exactly offensive, either.

Tap at Beermongers, PDX, 26/05/13. Hazed pale yellow with a thin white head. Nose is lemon, spice, herbs, grass, bitter orange. Taste comprises gras, lemon rind, straw, herbal notes, farmyard, light sugar, tarte fruit, light funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp and refreshing in the finish. Ticks all the boxes for a great saison.

I am really getting into saisons these days. This was an easy drinking 6.8% draft beer at Craft Beer Base in Osaka. It poured a lovely gold with a thick fluffy head. The flavor is a spicy complexity of sweetness & tartness. It’s easy to drink and a great everyday summer, very palatable-perfect for the summer. I’d definitely drink it again.

A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet citrusy saison with papaya and tropical fruits. In mouth, a classic saison with citrus pulp, curacao, coriander, nice. Tasted Dec. 15 2012.

Bomber from release #5. Pours a hazy light gold with a massive head and slightly spicy aromas with a little funk. Flavor is an odd mix of white pepper, butter, cloves, peaches and bubble gum. It’s sweet yet light. Interesting, but not spectacular.

On tap at the Vintage, nice palce, very friendly too! looks like pale lager witha creamy head. Nice mild taste impressions. Very nice. Lacing is like the see thru nighty of yer mate! Rather alky in nature at times. Just a plain clean aroma. Very little co2 over all. A quite acceptable saiason, as if I’m qualified to rate them, ehehe.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/24/2012. Pours very hazy golden amber color with a nice 3 finger fairly dense white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Some nice foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange zest, pear, pepper, clove, wheat, grass, herbal, earth, and yeast spices. Very nice and well balanced aromas with nice complexity. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, pepper, grass, wheat, clove, herbal, earth, and yeast spices. Light citrus tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, pepper, grass, herbal, clove, wheat, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a while. Good balance and complexity of flavors; with a lightly cloying earthiness after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a fairly chalky, crisp, and prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good saison. Nice amount of complexity and balance; and smooth to sip on. Definitely enjoyed this.
