Die alten Hamburger Schifferbiere des 15. Jahrhunderts wurden als starke, hopfenbetonte Biere mit viel Stammwürze eingebraut, um den feinen Tropfen haltbarer zu machen. Voilá: Der Vorläufer des India Pale Ales war geboren. Frisch von der Hamburger Westküste kommt heute nun unser IPA. Ein bissiges, naturbelassenes Bier. Fruchtig und exotisch mit Aromen von Pfirsich, Papaya und Orange. Immer richtig, nicht nur bei Hai Alarm!

Smooth moderate beginning. Fresh with citrus hints. Easy to drink, not too much depth. Grain with a dry body and moderate citrus. Nice but not too intense or floral.

Bottled (thanks mctapps). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, rubber and some wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some grassy and caramelly notes. Balanced and nice.

Bottle 330ml (Peta4). Slightly hazy orange color, small steady white head. Overriped fruits, pine in the nose. Medium-bodied. Orange jam, citrus, pine. A bit dull.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Pianka srednia i srednio trwala. Kolor malo metny, bursztynowy. zapach swierzych rozowych pomaranczy. W smaku cytrusy, nieco ziolowy posmak, gruszki i figi. Dosc pokazna moc goryczkowa ale w stylu niemieckim, dlugi wytrawny finisz. to lubie

Bottle: Golden, hazy, mid-sized and slowly diminishing off-white head; medical-resiny nose, fruity-caramelly background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft; lingering dry bitter-herbal finish, some cough-syrup around. Good, good…

Keg at the brewpub, Hamburg, 16/07/15. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, orange pith, light lemon, soft bread dough. Taste comprises tangerine, straw, sweet caramel, citric rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop presence in the close. Ok IPA.

At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly creamy head, quite clear golden color, aroma of pine, flowers and lemon, quite intense and forward, flavor of flowers and herbs with some citrus and a yeasty hint, with a malty backbone, light to medium bitterness, light subdued sweetness. Good and really interesting.

Tap at Fritz Stralsund. cloudy Amber, golden cream. Medium light straw malt body, light peachy metallic hop notes, berry nut and herb aftertaste.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Vova. Clear golden. Pleasant fruity and piney hops aroma. Rather dry fruity hops flavor, with light sweetness and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.
