Bottle. Color: Dark ruby, light beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, malt, sugar, caramel. Taste: Dark roasted, slightly burnt malt, some herbs, burnt toast. Light hints of red fruit, dark fruit and coffee. Moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Watery, under medium body, average carbonation. Long lasting very bittery palate at finish. Yeach. Not my kind of beer, once is enough.

On tap at Pynnikin, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and some red berries. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt and some bitter hopping. Bitter and lacking depth. Not great.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly fruity hoppy and yeasty as well as minimally dusty, spicy yeasty aroma, notes of red and dark berries, especially some raspberry, a touch of prune and cherry, minimally husky, malty basis. Taste is mellow malty, fruity and slightly spicy yeasty, notes of raspberry and other red berries, a peppery spicy touch, dry hoppy overtones; minimally overcarbonated.

Can from Gulating. Deep amber body with a nice, creamy beige head. Aroma is malt, bread, caramel and kinda fruity. Flavor is sweet, light roasted malt, caramel, bread, dry fruit, hint of wood and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent with a certain balance between sweet malt and bitterhops, still I think this suffer a bit at the relatively low alcohol strength, it seems to miss just a little boost here.
