Ayinger Lager Hell is the typical every day drink in Bavaria. Together with wheat beer this Muenchener Hell style is the most famous beer style in the Bavarian south.

As people in Bavaria are very demanding as far as their daily drink is concerned the brewers are very aware of the necessity to brew a yellow-golden beer with a light malt taste. It is crisp, smooth and mellow. A perfectly balanced taste and aroma.

Ayinger Lager Hell is often used for cooking and it can be paired with many typical Bavarian dishes like for example beef, pork and cold meat with radish and Brez’n.

Bottle. Just unclear pale gold with a good inch of dense white head that lasts well. Aroma of hay, biscuit dough, spices. Light bodied. Dryish with clean pale hayish malt before moderate, spicy bitterness. Whereas the Jahrhundert is maybe a little heavy for me this is just a little light - but, like it, it's very well done.

Bottle from the local Orterer, drink after repairing a Babyphone charger jack. Oh, USB mini Type B, how I won't miss you! Clear light gold, big frothy lasting head. Nose is clean, full malty lager flavor with hay and hops. Crisp on the tongue, medium bodied without being sweet. Very drinkable with nice earthiness in the background.

On tap at the Llandoger Trow, Bristol 29/9/2022. Deep gold in colour, with a tight white, head. Aroma of ripe malts, with a hint of floral hop and hay. Flavours of ripe, full, malts, some stone fruit sweetness, leading to a lingering, bitter, finish. An impressive lager.

On tap @ Bar Cameral. Aroma is bready, herbal and floral. Pours clear pale golden color with thin creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Tastes sweet malty, citrusy and herbal with smooth mouthfeel and pretty bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Top quality lager…
