Cask at Royal Oak, Borough. It pours clear amber with a decent white head. The aroma is rich, wood, earth, old leather sofa, pretty fruity actually, loads of soft red berry and musty basement The taste is rich, earthy, bitter, leather, biscuit, red berry, leaves, bit of spice, chewy malt, cereal and wood with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and lightly oily mouth - feel. Good depth, especially apparent on the aroma. Enjoyable stuff.

Bottle: Deep golden, clear, persistent white head with a little lace; bitter-sweet fruity (raisins) and malty nose with mild, but distinctive traces of herbal to "medical" hops; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft; lingering drier and "hoppier" finish, balanced by juicy malt. A pleasure...

Poursa clear amber color, topped with a small and non-lasting white head. Malty aroma, biscuity with some caramel notes. Taste is malty, biscuity with some fruity feel way in the back and a moderate bitterness. Nothing special really.

Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Thanks to Paul. Clear gold beer, nice bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Airy malts bring decent creamy sweetness. Hops are pithy orange with lesser grapefruit. Mild peel. Light semi dry finish. Pithy linger. Nice balance of sweet and bitter here and it drinks well under it’s abv.
