Plenty of British Crystal malt in the grist lends this ale its rich color, its caramel maltiness, and adds the occasional whiff of toffee to the nose. An addition of American and German hops to the kettle at the end of the boil is used to suffuse our Pale Ale with a gently spicy hop finish.

Can from Naiv beer store, Frankfurt. Pours amber with a lasting white head. Aroma of hop, citrus and tropical fruit, caramel and grass. Medium sweetness, moderate citrus bitterness. Toward medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Finish is very lemony.

Optisch trüb, kein Schaum, wenig Perlung. In der Nase sehr fruchtig für ein Pale, malzig. Im Trunk weniger Frucht, mittig bitter, etwas wässrig, brotig. Nicht schlecht, hatte aber schon bessere.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange. Small white head. Aroma is mild herbal hoppy. Bitter, slight toasted malty. Light fruity, herbal and dry bitter finish.

[ As Steamworks Signature Pale Ale ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, pine, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, fruity hops, pine - grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Can from BC Liquor Store on Hastings in Vancouver BC. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is slightly roasty malty/bready with a little fruit/spice. Med body. Flavor is roasty/bready with a hop spice counterpart. Not fruity. Towards dry and decently bitter. Sort of dull, but drinkable.
