Bottled 330ml. -as Berliner Berg Irish Stout. Dark brown coloured, medium sized beige head that stays for a while, mild chocolate in the nose. Light roasted malt, some caramel, mild chocolate and discreet nutty with unfortunately pretty lifeless finish.

Bottle: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, medium-sized and slowly diminishing tanned head; mild dryish toasty-coffeeish nose with mild sourish-fruity spots; moderate bitter-sweet flavour with a certain acidity, light to medium bodied and pretty soft; coffee, roasted malt and caramel in the slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish. Nothing to complain...

(bottle, 33cl, as Berliner Berg Irish Stout, 4.4% abv) Black colour with a beige and firm short foamy head. Moderately roasted malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, mocha and a leafy, slightly burnt touch. Mildly roasty bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry-ish roasted malt-character with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, slightly leafy notes and a whiff of burnt wood; hints of chocolate towards the rounded bitter-sweet and mildly roasted finish. Good. 26.IV.17

Pours brown with a tan, creamy head. Aroma is light chocolate, but with mild roasted notes. Hints of burnt toast. Taste is a bit sweet, but again, with burnt notes. Body stays light throughout and feels watery at times. Not enough here to hold my interest.

Malziger, trocken herber Start. Wenig Getreide, bitter-wässrig. Eher langweilig röstig zum Ende. 10/8/8/7/8/7

Borefts VIII. Day 2. Bottle thanks to Beerhunter111. Almost opaque dark brown beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest carbonation. Mellow, in fact nondescript dark malts. Trace of roasty bitterness. Light semi dry finish. In a world of plentiful samey average stouts, this one manages to fall well short of the mark. Wishy washy!
