This Imperial IPA projects an array of multidimensional hop flavor and aroma. Simcoe offers piney fruit while Centennial delivers a squeeze of lemon atop bright the tangerine citrus of Galaxy, laid upon a field of grassy Sterling.. and then some hippie comes by with a dank bag of Columbus.. This heady combination is backed by an extremely lean malt body thanks to the addition of flaked rice.
Label Design Notes: The layout of the label reinforces the absurdity by recalling both early promotional materials from Braun and Alfred Stieglitz's photo of Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain".

From 33cl bottle. Pours intense gold with slightly irregular white foam leaving quote a residue on the glass. Aroma is citrus and resinous, and honey when warmer. Body is dense and sticky. A bit of astringency but given by the quantity of bitter. Taste is intensely bitter, though with some honey sweetness coming up. Finish is long and bitter.

355ml bottle. Moderately cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma, notes of white grapes, quince, malty basis with hints of almond, marzipan. Taste is citrusy hoppy, really condensed notes of citrus fruit, finally a lemon, quince and orange zest amalgam with liquorice touch, malty basis again with almond and marzipan touch.

Keg at Omnipollos Hatt, Stockholm. Cloudy pale amber, rich creamy head. Lemon zest and ripe fruit up front. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Resiny and syrupy. Leafy lemon zest, sugar and white pepper. Very bitter finish. Edgy.

12 oz. bottle, pours a murky orange with a medium white head. Aroma smells quite sugary, with lots of caramel malt, candied sugar and resinous hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with caramel malt, candied sugar, and resinous hops. Not really any notice of the rice. Malt-heavy without being too cloying, and with a nice punchy resinous hop quality. Not top tier, but it's very good.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Lightly hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, some caramel and a very light touch of creamy toffee. Light spicy pine. Juicy resinous citrus and tropical fruits. More hop spice before a light finish. Bitter sticky tropical fruit linger. Nice one. But why is this a speciality grain?

Caña en el Lupulo 06..02..2016. (r67). Color ámbar anaranjado velado con espuma blanca. Aromas y sabores intensos cereales y toques afrutados todo ello acompañado de una fuerte sensación alcohólica con amargo final no muy intenso algo seco. Bastante buena.

Bottle from Craft Beer Cellar Westford Hazy deep yellow with a bubbly white head that lasts forever. Big grassy pine hop notes atop a bed of sweet caramel. Somewhat rustic earthy flavor with entirely too much sweet caramel malt for its own good. Pretty sure this bottle is older. Maybe its better fresh, but right now its too damn sweet.
