Bottle from local shop, drank in hotel room in Santa Maria, Cabo Verde with a pizza. Not a great stout but a decent dark lager.

Kolor ciemno brązowy, klarowny. Piana beżowa, wysoka i trwała, zbudowana z drobnych pęcherzyków ładnie maluje na szklance.
Aromat palonych słodów, kawowy, karmelowy z delikatną nutą przyprawową.
W smaku początkowo doskonały balans słodowej słodyczy i chmielowej goryczki. Z czasem goryczka wybija się do przodu i tak już pozostaje.
Wysycenie średnie. Ciało średnie. Tekstura gładka. Posmak długi kawowy, wytrawny.

Fles 33cl bij Cafe Sofia in Praia. Maltig, redelijk zacht, wat roasted malts, wat liquorice, licht droog, zoetig. Stout, geen Black lager. (25-10-2025).

Bottle. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts, minerals, cocoa and grains with hints of Port but that might be just by association. Moderate bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Watery but somehow also kind of creamy. Slightly alcoholic as well. It’s nice but the size of the bottle is way too small. I mean, come on!

Cor escura e sabor a torrado a café e algumas notas metálicas.
Bottled in Lisbon and Dark pour. Malts and a little bit of creaminess. Not too bad overall

330 ml bottle from Portugal. Thanks Kat! Pours a pitch black color with dark ruby highlights and a beige head with great retention. Very good, fine lacing. Lightly roasted malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Light roasted malt flavor throughout with some hints of dark chocolate. A little thin for a stout. The body is more like a Schwarzbier. More carbonation than most stouts too. No coffee notes. Not bitter. It's clean, smooth, and very repeatable. A stout lite?

Bottle @ apartment in Funchal. Black body with a nice lacing beige head. Both aroma and taste has mild, smooth roasted dark malt with a hint of coffee. A decent, straight forward black lager that feels like a nice thirst quencher served cold.

220 mL bottle, at a cafe in Curral de Freiras in Madiera. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. The nose is thin cocoa powder, weak coffee, cola, pumpernickel, and chalk. Dry and musty, with a mild, earthy bitterness. Light, crisp, and dusty. Pretty fair.
